International Master Fitter Competition coverage

And the winner is...
... 2008 American Master Installer Auto Glass Champion Jeff Olive of Glasspro, Mount Pleasant, S.C. Olive took first place in the 2008 International Master Fitter Competition Oct. 25, beating out auto glass technicians from Japan, Hungary, Romania, Denmark, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands for the title of world's "master fitter." Hungary's Gergely Igazvolgyi came in second place. Denmark's Daniel Andersen and Japan's Toshiyuki Isohata tied for third. Organized by the International Automotive Glass Federation, of which the National Glass Association is a member, the event was held in conjunction with glasstec in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Day one of the competition  included a sidelite replacement and backlite removal and replacement. The second day consisted of a windshield repair and replacement.
