Glass America

Nathan Edwards has been promoted to vice president, business support, for Glass America, headquartered in Chicago. Edwards joined Glass America in 2005 as part of the Auto Glass Service acquisition where he had functioned as an IT Manager since 1998. With the move to Glass America, Edwards took on the role of business analyst, and over the years his responsibilities grew to include vendor relations, purchasing manager and field support manager.

In his new role, he will manage  the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS) compliance program for Glass America, purchase glass and related supplies, and oversee vehicle fleets, call center operations and Internet strategy.

Creative Extruded Products

Bob Rossey has joined the Creative Extruded Products team as accessory business unit manager. He brings more than 18 years experience in the distribution and marketing of accessories to the automotive molding supplier. In this position, Rossy is responsible for the development and implementation of Creative’s Accessory Business Unit.

 

Glass Doctor

Brad Roberson of the Glass Doctor of Brookhaven/ Jackson (Miss.) franchise received the Glass Doctor President’s Award at the company’s 2009 Annual Reunion Conference in Las Vegas.

 The President’s Award is given to a franchise owner who is committed to building a great Glass Doctor franchise, helps other franchisees and overcomes business challenges. It is awarded at the sole discretion of the company president.
Roberson also received the Top Gun designation from Glass Doctor. The Top Gun designation is given to the top 10 percent of Glass Doctor franchisees who achieve various sales, operations and other benchmarks.
Roberson has owned and operated Glass Doctor of Brookhaven since 2003. With six glass service technicians and two inside sales representatives, Glass Doctor of Brookhaven serves Copiah, Franklin, Hinds, Lawrence, Lincoln, Madison, Pike, Rankin and Walthall Counties.
Also in Las Vegas, the Glass Doctor of Charlotte franchise, owned by Ed Sieber, was honored as the 2008 Glass Doctor Franchisee of the Year.

The Franchisee of the Year Award is presented to the franchisee who has consistently grown his or her business through the Glass Doctor training system and has achieved a consistently high level of success through quality and professional service.

The Siebers (Ed, his father William and his brother Wyatt) purchased a Glass Doctor franchise in 1987. Ed purchased the franchise in 2002 from his father and brother, and he manages the main shop in Matthews, N.C. Wyatt manages a second shop in Concord. The two shops employ 19 people between them.
In addition, Glass Doctor honored Mike Evans of the Glass Doctor of Montana franchise with the Recruiter of the Year Award. The award is given to the franchise owner who has demonstrated superior recruiting skills by attracting quality people to the franchise, providing an effective training program for employees and creating opportunities within the franchise by which the employees can grow in their careers. Evans also received the Top Gun designation.  
 
Glass Doctor also honored Travis Johnson, a flat glass service technician for the Glass Doctor of Chattanooga franchise, as National Technician of the Year. The Technician of the Year Award is presented to the glass service technician who has a history of setting an example for fellow associates with exceptional work habits, technical skill and customer satisfaction. In general, the Technician of the Year is the model glass service technician that every franchisee seeks. Johnson was nominated for the award by Don Anderson, owner of the Glass Doctor of Chattanooga franchise, and was selected from technicians at more than 370 Glass Doctor locations in the United States and Canada.
 
Lastly, the company gave three Glass Doctor Excellence in Leadership Awards out in Las Vegas to: Ron & Jane Maxey, owners of the Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana franchise based in Valparaiso, Ind.; Larry Patterson, owner of the Glass Doctor of North Texas franchise based in Carrollton, Texas; and Gene Porter, owner of the Glass Doctor of Clovis franchise based in Clovis, N.M.
 
The Excellence in Leadership award recognizes franchisees who consistently set an example for others within the entire franchise system through vision, participation and positive contributions.
