Bendheim presents channel glass program for AIA credits
Bendheim Wall Systems Inc., Passaic, N.J., launched a Web-based continuing education program for the American Institute of Architects and state credit on channel glass wall systems, according to a July 28 release. Participation in the 1.5 hour program is free-of-charge and earns industry professionals 1.5 Health, Safety, and Welfare learning units. The program also qualifies for Sustainable Design credit, a new continuing education requirement for AIA members.
The course, “Channel Glass Wall Systems: Enhancing Building Performance and Design” (AIA CES # AEC340), offers an in-depth review of the structural properties and design benefits of channel glass wall systems. It includes sections on performance, installation, current standards, and case studies of channel glass in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified installations.
The course is available online as a self-study program.
“Since green building is becoming a standard in the industry, we launched this program to offer valuable information about designing and building with channel glass, an incredibly sustainable product,” said Robert Jayson, president, Bendheim, in the release. “The program is designed by Bendheim experts with extensive channel glass engineering and installation experience. We are eager to share our knowledge and experience with architects and designers.”
