BHM Architecture headquarters earns LEED Gold

The basics: The new headquarters of Burke Hogue Mills Inc., or BHM Architecture, has become the first architectural office in Florida to earn Leadership in Energy and environmental Design Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The 15,700-square-foot, two-story building is located in Lake Mary, Fla. Sustainable features include under floor air distribution, reflective roof, Thermomass tilt wall panels, and YKK AP window wall for natural daylighting.

The glass and systems: Versalux Blue 2000 ¼-inch monolithic glass with a safety and security film, the 3M Prestige Series Ultra PR S70. Sloped glazed system, window wall, curtain wall and storefronts, including the YKK YWW45FS, YCW750OG/SSG and YES40FS, all supplied in YS1N clear anodized-plus finish.
