Discovery Center earns LEED with high-performance window system
The basics: The 30,000-square-foot renovation of the Discovery Center of Springfield (Mo.) earned a Gold rating from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program from the U.S. Green Building Council thanks in part to its high-performance glass and windows. The project is the first to earn LEED Gold in southwest Missouri, according to officials at Boyd Aluminum, the window supplier.
