Great Glazing: San Antonio Military Medical Center

The basics: The recent major construction project at the San Antonio Military Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, added about 700,000 square feet of new hospital space, and included the renovation of 280,000 square of existing medical space, a new Central Energy Plant, and a new parking structure with a total of nearly 5,000 new parking spots, according to Clark/Hunt. Total project costs are estimated at about $557 million. The project features a blast-resistant window system and curtain wall.
