The basics: The four-story, 122,000-square-foot Medical Information Technology Inc. building in Fall River, Mass., features a sustainable high-performance façade with sunscreen systems that automatically respond to exterior solar conditions and are integrated into the versatile curtain wall. The curtain wall allows natural daylighting throughout the building that maximizes views and reduces dependency on electrical lighting. To help control daylight and increase occupant comfort, the glass wall features motorized shades installed between the mullions.
