Officials at Edgetech I.G., Cambridge, Ohio, appointed Bruce Hodges quality engineer at the Cambridge facility. Hodges brings more than 22 years of related experience to his new role, most recently as manufacturing engineering manager for Visteon Corp., Van Buren Township, Mich. He has experience with multiple manufacturing companies in various roles related to project management, process engineering and operations management.

Groves Inc.

Officials at Groves Inc., Woodstock, Ill., promoted Ryan Jentel to sales manager for all product lines in glass and stone storage/fabrication systems. He will oversee all aspects of the sales cycle, from customer contact to order delivery. Prior to the promotion, Jentel was an account executive for the supplier's Ready Rack line of fire department storage systems.

 

Vitro

Vitro Vidrio y Cristal, Monterrey, Mexico, appointed Flat Glass Sales LLC of Okatie, S.C., as its sales representative for the territory east of the Rockies. The sales team of Jim Charles, Jake Hall and Jim Charles lll has more than 115 combined years of experience in sales and marketing in the glass industry. They will be responsible for selling and promoting Vitro’s direct truckload sales of flat glass products to fabricators, distributors and window manufacturers, in addition to introducing and promoting Vitro’s new Pavia and Klare products to the industry. 

 

Consolidated Glass

Consolidated Glass Corp., New Castle, Pa., hired James T. Fay, Jr., and James Greene as sales reps. Fay, Jr., worked at Phoenix Enterprise, Rochester, N.Y., and was an independent sales rep for Consolidated since 1970, servicing the upstate New York market. He will represent Consolidated in the state of New York. Greene worked for Greene Sales, and was an independent sales rep for Consolidated since 1989, servicing the western half of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and the Chicago market. He will represent Consolidated in the states of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Canadian Glass Association

The Canadian Glass Association, Surrey, B.C., appointed its 2010 board of directors during its annual general meeting in Pickering, Ontario. Richard Verdon of RSVP Agency Inc., Ottawa, was elected president; David Langton of Competition Glass Ltd., Kelowna, BC, was elected first vice president; and Fred Fulton of Glassopolis, Toronto, was elected second vice president. David Husson of DH Glass Solutions Inc., Langley, BC, sits on the board as past president; Stephen Hargrove of Wescom Glass & Aluminum Ltd., Calgary, AB, as treasurer; and Leonard Pianalto of Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd., Vancouver, BC, as technical committee chair.
