RavenBrick, Denver, received 54 patent approvals from the U.S. Patent Office for its RavenWindow solar heat blocking window filer technology. According to a company release, the market-ready window filter automatically blocks solar heat when the outside temperature is too hot, while allowing solar heat inside when the outside temperature is cold. RavenBrick smart-window filters use no electricity, wiring or control systems, and can cut energy costs while reducing overheating, drafting and glare, according to the release. With this approval, RavenBrick will continue to form agreements with leading glass manufacturers to incorporate RavenBrick’s filter into their lines, according to the release.
