Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, Orlando, Fla.The basics: New construction of a 273-bed, 400,000-square-foot hospital focused on women’s and children’s services, including a 112-bed neonatal intensive care unit and 30 labor and delivery rooms. Facility includes two 11-story main towers and three four-story towers in a cloverleaf configuration with a 115,000-square-foot curtain wall, 15,000 square feet of aluminum composite accent panels placed randomly on the curtain wall and a four-story glass sphere lobby. Completed May 2006. Cost, $138 million.
