Also note, the top gap is close to the pinchweld wall, so care must be taken during cutout to avoid damaging the pinchweld wall.

    The A-pillar molding on this vehicle extends from the fender to the back glass and is clipped down with a two-clip system: one clip attached to the body and one inserted into the molding. There are two ways to release the molding from the vehicle: pry out the molding clip from the body clip, or slide the molding from the clips. The latter method might prevent damage to the clips.

    When removing the cowl panel, you will need to release the eight retainers on the underside of the panel using a door pad tool or long pry tool. Be careful, as these retainers can break in cold weather. Also watch out for the top and side molding.
