During GlassBuild America 2013 in Atlanta, Ameri-Can Machinery demonstrated its TigerStop machine. TigerStop is an affordable, programmable digital stop and push feed system, according to company officials.

During GlassBuild America 2013, Bromer Inc. demonstrated the capabilities of its Independent Sorter Skid prototype. The skid addresses the sorting issues common with traditional skids. Instead of loading the skid with the biggest and heaviest pieces of glass first, the ISS Skid holds glass vertically and at adjustable levels in the order needed by the end user, according to company officials.

In response to increased demand for tarp bodies that enable glass transporters to deliver clean glass unaffected by road conditions and weather, Unruh Fab has expanded its line of aluminum tarp bodies. The lightweight aluminum allows for more glass carrying capacity while providing corrosion resistance and better fuel economy, according to the company. Unruh Fab offers the aluminum tarp bodies in numerous configurations, with everything from metal carriers to tool boxes. Unruh Fab will exhibit at GlassBuild America 2013 in booth #623.

Deceuninck North America will feature the Genius ultra-performance window, an interlinked dual sash window that enables thermal performance values exceeding R-14 without the use of exotic films or gasses. The system’s thermal capabilities make it one of the most energy efficient window systems available in the market today, according to the exhibitor. Deceuninck offers color and style options to help fabricators and dealers capture evolving market trends, it reports. Giesse will introduce the Phase 2 OS Operator hardware for outswing windows. The OS Operator combines three functions into one piece of hardware, the exhibitor reports. With one, 180-degree movement, clients can open and close a window, engage and disengage multiple locking points, and ensure security and safety with a limited opening. MyGlassTruck.com will display a 2014 Mitsubishi Fuso glass truck, available with financing options as low as $883 a month for qualified applicants. The truck’s 14-foot aluminum body features exterior and interior racks fabricated with aircraft-grade fasteners that won’t crack like welded aluminum or loosen from vibration; posts and slats with full-length rubber padding; a builtin tool box; and a slip-resistant floor. This year at GlassBuild America, F. Barkow Inc. will introduce Model P212-S, a 12-foot-tall, welded stainless steel glazing body, designed to carry up to 8,000 pounds of glass, metal and tools. Exterior glass racks measure 144 inches by 105 inches, with 5-inch useable ledgeboards. The model includes 10 Stake-Loc stakes, along with a cantilevered metal carrier for stock lengths. Also included is additional storage in a locking toolbox within the rear skirt. The glazing body will be featured on a 2013 Ford F450 Chassis Cab. Also at the show will be F. Barkow’s 9-foot Barkow Model P209H-A “Hybrid” all-welded aluminum glazing body on a 2013 GMC 2500HD. Booth #2321.

Edgeworks will display several new products at the show, including the Black Molly tool holder, a one-step router/finishing tool, a microfiber glass cutting table covering and a horizontal hand edging machine. EDTM Inc. will display the new Solar Spectrum Transmission Meter for accurately measuring the performance of glass, windows, window film and specialty coatings, making it a useful tool for testing product performance, as well as conducting convincing sales presentations, according to the exhibitor. The meter is calibrated to ISO9050, NFRC300 and EN410 standards, allowing users to switch between standards depending on location.
