AGC Automotive Americas to lay off 20 percent of staff at Kentucky facility

Following a negative trend in the automotive industry, AGC Automotive Americas, formerly known as AP Technoglass, announced a 20 percent staff reduction at its Elizabethtown, Ky., glass factory.

AGC currently employs more than 600 people, but human resource manager Steve Robbins said the company is forced to cut more than 100 of those positions between Thanksgiving and Christmas, because of the global automotive slump, according to a report from The News-Enterprise.
