Belron US, Columbus, Ohio, has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Cindy Rowe Auto Glass, Harrisburg, Pa., according to a Jan. 6 release. Belron officials announced the acquisition in August 2008 and the deal closed December 31.

Cindy Rowe and COO Dave Taylor plan to remain involved for the next three years as consultants for Belron US. Rowe founded the company in 1980, growing it from a windshield repair operation that started in the trunk of her Chevrolet Vega to an auto glass repair and replacement provider with 12 store locations and 76 employees serving close to 50,000 customers annually.

“Cindy Rowe’s excellent service delivery and high brand recognition made it attractive to us,” said Tom Feeney, Belron US president and CEO, in the release. “We feel the acquisition is fully aligned to our goal to become the ‘natural choice’ for vehicle glass repair and replacement services in the U.S.”

A team of Belron US associates led by John Sadler, Belron US vice president of warehouse
operations, will work closely with the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass management team to formulate
integration plans, to be implemented over the next six to nine months.

“We will work with the Cindy Rowe team to learn more about the brand’s history and strategy
before we determine our final plan," said Feeney in the release. "Until that time, it is business as usual and no brands will change.”
