Jobs hang in the balance as bailout talks stall

A collapse of Detroit’s Big Three automakers could mean the loss of more than 600 Crawford County jobs, according to a Nov. 19 report in Pennsylvania's Meadville Tribune. With General Motors, Ford and Chrysler fighting to survive, the loss of any would have a direct impact on local firms, specifically Pittsburgh Glass Works LLC. It has about 250 employees at its Greenwood Township flat glass-making plant, the report states.
