Analysts expect 'stable to higher' aluminum prices in 2012

Analysts and delegates attending Harbor Intelligence's Annual Aluminum Outlook Conference  in Chicago this week expect "stable to higher" aluminum prices and premiums in 2012, according to a June 21 Kitco News report.

Some 210 registered delegates attended teh conference. Late Tuesday [June 21] morning, a survey of participants showed that 75 percent expect relatively stable London Metal Exchange prices averaging $2,400 to $2,600 a metric ton in 2012. Fifty-eight percent anticipated the regional premium they pay will increase next year, according to the report.
