Bystronic to present solar technology machines at Vitrum

At Vitrum 2009 in Milan, Oct. 28-31, the Bystronic glass group will present its core competencies. Besides machines for glass cutting, insulating glass manufacturing, laminated glass manufacturing, pre-processing of automotive glass and glass handling, it will feature machines for the production of photovoltaic thin-film modules, according to a July 2 release.

For more than 40 years Bystronic glass has been synonymous with innovative machines as well as plants, systems and services in the glass processing industry. From basic components to automated complete customer-specific solutions, the company supplies its customers with concepts at the highest quality level. This is also valid for the photovoltaic sector: whether pre-processing, front-end or back-end, Bystronic glass offers appropriate solutions.

Glass processing requires a lot of energy. Not only is the procurement of energy becoming increasingly more expensive, but at the same time, Bystronic glass wishes to make an active contribution to environmental protection through conservative use. Through ecological orientation, it has succeeded in making many processes in the manufacture and operation of the plants economically more efficient. As resource conservation and energy reduction are global challenges, Bystronic glass will continue its efforts in this respect to achieve even better results in the future. Vitrum visitors can experience this engagement for the environment in the Eco-Lounge at the Bystronic glass booth, according to the release.
