On Sept. 12, Mike Hovan, president, Edgetech IG, Cambridge, Ohio, met the Ride 4 Hope team, a team of 23 cyclists, in Circleville, Ohio, and presented a $2,500 check for its cause, according to a Sept. 15 company release. The Ride 4 Hope team started on a 3,000-mile cross-country journey from San Diego to Atlantic City in September collecting donations for the United Kingdom’s Hope House Children’s Hospices. The team consists of British cyclists from the window, construction and associated industries.

“It is an impressive feat to cycle across the U.S. in 16 days,” Hovan said, in the release. “These 12 individuals have selflessly trained for the past 18 months to help make a difference in the lives of very ill children and their families. Edgetech and Edgetech UK are proud of the work they are doing on the behalf of our industry.”

The 3,000-mile ride is expected to raise nearly $200,000 for the Hope House Children’s Hospices, which provides care for terminally ill children and bereavement support to families at two UK locations.
