EU Imposes Duties on Chinese Solar Glass

The European Union imposed duties ranging from 17.1 percent to 42.1 percent on Chinese imports of glass used in solar panels, according to a Nov. 27 Reuters article. The duties, which went into effect on Nov. 28, are the result of “unfairly low prices” of solar glass imports from Chinese producers, according to the report. The measures are provisional—a final ruling will be made by the EU’s 28 member states by May 27.
