GANA releases 24th Glass Informational Bulletin

The Glass Association of North America, Topeka, Kan., released its 24th Glass Informational Bulletin, a series of educational documents available to the industry as a free download on its Web site, according to a July 21 release. Titled Installation Techniques Designed to Prolong the Life of Flat Glass Mirrors, the GIB gives several tips on handling and installing mirror when in the field. Glazing contractors who install mirror products are encouraged to download the free bulletin, as well as mirror fabricators and silverers, who could pass the bulletin along to customers.

“This specific bulletin is very hands-on,” said Brian Pitman, director of marketing and communications, in the release. “Many installers don't fully realize the ease with which a few easy techniques can increase the aesthetic properties and functional use of mirror. In the end, the customer gets a better product and experience with their mirror."

Since their original creation, GANA’s GIBs have been downloaded more than 400,000 times from its Web site. Visitors to the site’s TechCenter will be able to add this GIB to their library beginning July 21.
