Argentina exported glass and glassware worth $22.6 million in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 21.9 percent, according to a Sept. 30 report from Argentina’s National Institute of Statistics and Censuses. Exports of these commodities in 2007 were worth $40.6 million. Argentina imported glass and glassware worth $128 million in the January to June period this year, a year-on-year increase of 48.5 percent. Argentina imported the same types of commodities worth $203 million in 2007.
