Paul W. Bush, PPG manager of technical services for flat glass, was elected to the board of the National Fenestration Rating Council, occupying the Fenestration Industry, primary glass manufacturer seat, according to a PPG release.

“We are pleased to have Paul as a representative of PPG and primary glass manufacturers on the NFRC board,” said Richard A. Beuke, PPG vice president, flat glass, in the release. “Paul’s background in product development and his active leadership in other glass industry associations make him an ideal choice for this critical position.”

Since joining PPG in 1986 as an associate in the glass engineering group, Bush has held posts in PPG’s flat glass, OEM automotive glass, automotive replacement glass, aircraft transparencies and fiber glass businesses. Through his 27 years with PPG, Bush has been part of several of the company’s technical innovations for the fenestration industry, including the development of post-temperable, low-emissivity coated glass products.

In addition to his NFRC service, Bush is first vice president of the Glass Material Council and chairman of the Glass Designed for Sloped Glazing Task Group at the American Architectural Manufacturers Association. He also is a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials C14 Committee on Glass and Glass Products and the Energy Efficient Fenestration Steering Committee of Natural Resources Canada, according to the release.
