Commercial fenestration manufacturer Northern Building Products has adopted the name of its subsidiary, Northern Architectural Systems. The name change occurred concurrently with the merging of the two related companies, according to a company release.

“The merger of our operations will make our entire portfolio of windows, doors, curtain and window walls, and storefront and entrance doors available to our customers from a single platform which is increasingly important as the marketplace continues to shift towards single source manufacturing responsibility,” according to the company’s vice president of business development, Mike Richard.

The new Northern Architectural Systems will be headquartered in Teterboro, N.J., and will maintain two manufacturing facilities, in Teterboro and in Carlstadt, N.J.

“By operating under one unified brand we are building an even stronger, more efficient company that is able to meet the future challenges of our changing industry,” said President Robert Pecorella in the release.

Northern has also kicked off a new consolidated website that will help customers understand the full breadth of the company’s energy efficient fenestration solutions.
