NSG Reports 17 Percent Revenue Gains in First Three Quarters

Revenues increased 17 percent in the first three quarters of FY2014 for Nippon Sheet Glass, according to the company’s quarterly consolidated financial results, released Jan. 31. The company reported revenues of about $4.5 billion from April 1 to Dec. 31, 2013, up from $3.8 billion for the same period in FY2013.

Forecasted revenues for the full FY2014 are expected to increase about 15 percent to $5.9 billion, according to the report.

Revenues for the architectural glass unit were up 11.7 percent from the previous year, reaching $1.8 billion in the first three quarters. “Operating results in the architectural business were significantly better than the previous year due mainly to the effects of the Group’s restructuring program,” officials said.
