Plans for super sustainable skyscraper unveiled

Plans for a new 200-meter high super sustainable skyscraper in Shenzhen, China, have been unveiled.

The 96,000-square-meter building will be the regional headquarters for the Shenzhen Energy Co.

The façade will be made with folded skin that shades the office complex from direct sunlight and integrates solar thermal panels, reducing the overall energy consumption of the building, according to a Sept. 8 report.
