Tempco Glass Fabrication acquired automated insulating glass unit fabrication equipment, and now offers IGUs for new or replacement construction in the New York City metro area. Since its launch in January 2013, Tempco has offered its customers a growing line of products and services including glass tempering, cutting, and edge polishing and mitering, it reports. The glass fabricator now supplies IGUs in a wide variety of thicknesses and up to 60 inches by 120 inches in size to glaziers, glass shops, window manufacturers, and window, storefront, and curtain-wall installation contractors. The Tempco standard IGUs offer a twin-pane, polyisobutylene dual-seal system with a desiccant-filled aluminum spacer, and utilize standard, double strength, tempered, frosted, and hard-coat or soft-coat low-E glass types. The company also offers triple glazing and alternate spacer systems, as well as a gas-filling station as part of the production line to facilitate the fabrication of argon-filled IGUs, Tempco reports.
