Tubelite Inc. has expanded production capacity at its Walker and Reed City, Mich., facilities, according to a Feb. 24 company release. The company added more than 43,000 square feet to its Walker facility, bringing the location up to 123,125 square feet in size. Structural and logistical improvements are underway in the warehousing and distribution areas of both facilities, and future improvements are planned for the assembly areas as well.

"As part of our strategic plan for continuous improvement and growth, this investment increases our capacity and capabilities," said Chuck Pope, director of operations, Tubelite, in the release. "Standing by ... our damage-free guarantee shipping, we have significantly expanded the size of our shipping area at the Walker location."

According to Paul Marzolf, Tubelite operations manager, the Reed City location also has nearly doubled its aluminum extrusion press capacity with upgrades to its processing equipment. "This extends our overall capacity and ensures quality, reliability and productivity," he said, in the release.
