United Glass Corp., Oakdale, Pa., recently installed a brand new, state-of-the-art, full convection oven at its Pdc Glass location in Pittsburgh, according to a Nov. 11 company release. The new furnace produces heat treated glass up to 100-inch-by-180-inch in size, 1/8 inch to ¾ inch in thicknesses, with low levels of roller wave distortion. The LiteSentry equipment, installed on the tempering line, monitors every lite of glass and is capable of providing electronic documentation on a per project basis.

In addition to the new furnace, the company has expanded its facility and added a high-speed cutting line that has streamlined the production process to shorten lead times and ensure on-time delivery, according to the release.

The company also developed a new logo and a complete corporate graphic identity, according to a company release Nov. 11.
