Officials from the Minnesota Vikings announced the team would not spend an additional $1.1 million on bird-safe glass for its new stadium, according to a July 24 article from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. The announcement responds to concerns from the National Audubon Society that the stadium’s 200,000 square feet of glass could be a “death trap” for migrating birds.
