The NSG Group will halt production of one of its two Pilkington float lines currently in operation in the United Kingdom. Pilkington NSG will stop the CH2 float line at the Cowley Hill plant in November 2013, resulting in the loss of approximately 140 jobs. Off-line coating, silvering, laminating and warehousing operations will continue at the plant.

The purpose of the closure, NSG reports, is to reduce float capacity and output to match the requirements of Pilkington's customers.
