SolFocus opens expanded solar glass facility in Mesa
SolFocus has opened the doors on an expansion of its Mesa facility, which makes glass reflectors for solar power plants. The company plans to add jobs and increase product output there through the end of the year.
The Mountain View, Calif.-based company will be able to produce 2 million concentrated photovoltaic reflectors each year at the Mesa facility--enough to produce about 30 megawatts of power. That represents a 175 percent increase from its current capacity.
The company plans to have about 150 full-time employees in Mesa by the end of the year, according to an April 24 Phoenix Business Journal report.
