Safti First Hires Architectural Representatives

Safti First added three architectural representatives to its growing network of sales representatives.

SDC Architectural Solutions in Arizona – Scott and Peggy Ciley

Principals Scott and Peggy Ciley have more than 35 years of experience in architectural glass and metal sales. In 2009, they formed SDC Architectural Solutions Inc. and built their business by providing commercial glazing products to contract glaziers in Arizona and Southern California. In June 2022, SDC Architectural Inc. began representing Safti First in Arizona.

“Safti First is a highly respected company that we have known about over the years,” says Scott Ciley. “It is a great fit, providing both glass and framing, to provide the best fire-rated glazing systems available. We are delighted to be part of the family and appreciate the support that we’ve received from everyone."

SDC Architectural Inc. also represents Precision Glass Industries, Lucent Glass Solutions, Stella Glass Hardware, and Access Architectural Hardware.

Advanced Architectural Products in Iowa – Barry Jennings

Principal Barry Jennings got his start in the industry in 1997 as an estimator for a window manufacturer. Four years later, he worked for a glazing contractor as an estimator and project manager. In 2004, he formed Advanced Architectural Products Inc. to provide product representation, design assistance, and installation training in the areas of glazing, storefront, and curtain wall design. AAP is 100 percent Native American-owned and has expanded to an eight-person team.

“We are so excited to be part of the Safti First Team. We are excited to offer Safti First’s AIA continuing education courses and to be part of such a great company,” says Jennings. “We have had other opportunities in this industry but we only want to partner with the best companies. We feel that Safti First is the country’s leader in fire-rated framing and glass.”

AAP also represents EFCO, Insulgard, Global Security Glazing, Imperial Glass Structures, Nudo Architectural, Hendrick Architectural, Wintech Windows, and Kingspan Light and Air (CPI and Major Industries).

Midwest Glass Reps in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota – Randy Zunker and Mike Esty

Principal Randy Zunker got an early start in the glass industry by working summer jobs with Hoffers Glass in Wausau, Wisconsin, from 1985-1986. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in business and economics and started full-time in the glass industry in 1994 as a sales rep for a glass distributor/glazing contractor in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1998, he became an independent sales representative and merged with Midwest Glass Reps in 2003.

Mike Esty began his career with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in 2004 as a sales trainee, working in a variety of departments from customer service, to estimating, marketing, and territory sales. He joined Midwest Glass Reps in 2009 to cover Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and the Western Wisconsin market.

“Safti First is a perfect partner for Midwest Glass Reps. We look forward to promoting a reputable company with quality products,” says Zunker.

“Safti First has a strong reputation with architects and glazing contractors and I am looking forward to expanding the reach throughout the territory. The ability to be a single source supplier from the interior to the exterior for our valued customers will benefit all teams involved in the projects we work on,” adds Esty.

Midwest Glass Reps also represents Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, Jordahl Anchors, NUDO Panels, and Ready Access Hardware.

“We are fortunate to get all three organizations to enhance our existing sales network. They all fill crucial gaps in our current representation. We are excited and fortunate to have them on board,” says Tim Nass, vice president of sales, Safti First
