FuseCube from DFI

Diamon-Fusion International Inc. will showcase FuseCube, a patent-pending automated vapor deposition machine developed to apply the Diamon-Fusion protective coating to glass and other silica-based surfaces. The Diamon-Fusion coating makes glass water and oil repellent, harder to stain, easier to clean, as well as impact and scratch resistant, according to DFI. With FuseCube, fabricators can coat thousands of square feet of glass—on both sides and all exposed edges—in less than an hour while reducing costs up to 75 percent compared to spray-applied coatings, the company reports. The system conducts the entire coating process automatically and then indicates when the cycle is done. The glass can then be removed and the FuseCube can be reloaded, providing maximum throughput at a minimum cost. FuseCube is available in three sizes that can accommodate 75-450 panels measuring 36 inches by 96 inches in size. DFI reports that the FuseCube reduces safety and regulatory concerns by eliminating risks of coating chemicals, and creates a cleaner working environment via its zero-emission process. The FuseCube is exclusively distributed, installed and serviced in the U.S. and Canada by IGE Glass Technologies Inc. Booth #818.
