Vetrotech Hurricane Impact and Keralite Select

Vetrotech Saint-Gobain will show its complete line of fire-rated glass and framing systems, and will introduce two new fire-rated glazing products—Vetrotech Hurricane Impact and Keralite Select glass ceramic. Vetrotech HI is a Florida-approved glass curtain-wall system that is both firerated and hurricane impact-resistant. Listed by UL for up to two hours of fire resistance, Vetrotech HI fills the demand for a fire-rated product for buildings within 1 ½ miles of a high water mark, Vetrotech reports. Keralite Select combines the appearance quality of float glass with the security of up to three hours of fire protection. A patent-pending surface-polishing technology and an advanced chemical composition have been developed to create a fire-rated glass ceramic with sharp, accurate color viewing, according to Vetrotech. Special raw materials and a unique manufacturing process help ensure that the physical and optical properties are close to those of standard float glass. Booth #3660
