SCHOTT CERAN glass-ceramic cooktop panels are resistant to abrupt temperature shocks up to 750 degrees Celsius, according to the fabricator. The company recently introduced an eco-friendly
glass-ceramic panel that does not contain the toxic heavy metals arsenic and antimony. The CERAN cooktop panels are robust and long-lasting, as they are resistant to high impact loads. Because of the low transverse heat conductivity of CERAN cooktop panels, the adjacent cooking area remains relatively cool, and the heat is transmitted directly to pots and pans, according to SCHOTT. CERAN works with every heating system—radiant, induction, or gas,―and various colors and design combinations are available.
