Parksmart,, Green Business Certification Inc.

Parksmart, formerly Green Garage Certification, is a rating system designed to advance sustainable mobility through smarter parking structure design and operation. Aimed at reduced operational costs, increased energy efficiency and better lighting and ventilation, Parksmart complements LEED and other certifications It is a voluntary certification program with different levels for new and existing structured parking facilities of all types. Projects can be standalone, or a part of a mixed-use building, and have five years to complete certification.

SITES,, Green Business Certification Inc.

The Sustainable Sites Initiative is a third-party verified rating system for development projects located on sites with or without buildings. The program identifies sustainable landscapes. SITES certification is for development projects located on sites with or without buildings—ranging from national parks to corporate campuses, streetscapes to homes, and more. USGBC incorporates certain SITES credit content into iterations of the LEED green building rating system. Likewise, SITES has adapted LEED credits as part of its SITES v2 Rating System, when relevant and appropriate.

TRUE is a whole systems approach that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. Certification is available for any physical facility and its operations, including buildings owned by businesses, property managers, schools, government agencies and nonprofits. Facilities achieve certification by meeting seven minimum program requirements and attaining points on the application form. GBCI, the certification body for the LEED green building rating system, also administers TRUE Zero Waste certification and TRUE Advisor.
