Şişecam submitted an offer to acquire the Sangalli Group’s Sangalli Manfredonia facilities in southern Italy. The facility would be Şişecam's second float glass plant in the country. Şişecam Group paid around $105 million in 2016 to acquire the same group’s Sangalli Porto Nogaro facilities in northern Italy. The sale process is expected to be completed in the coming months.

“We expect strategic benefits in terms of our European flat glass operations by acquiring the Sangalli Manfredonia plant, which enjoys a favorable geographical location and offers an annual production capacity of 190,000 tons,” says Ahmet Kırman, Şişecam Group vice chairman and CEO.

In addition to the float line, the facility also operates a laminating line and coating line.
