ABI Growth Eases in July

The Architectural Billings Index, which captures billings growth at architectural firms, registered the tenth month in a row of growth, according to the American Institute of Architects. Despite the positive trend, overall billings eased in June, down to 50.7 from 51.3.

The South lead other regions in billings growth, posting at 55.2, helping to balance out other regions' receding billings, says Kermit Baker, chief economist, AIA. “Despite the dip in the overall ABI number in July, firms are still reporting a healthy increase in new projects,” he says.
