AGC Glass began installation of its new state-of-the-art magnetron sputtered vacuum deposition coater at its Greenland, Tennessee, manufacturing complex, which houses two float glass lines.

Plans to locate the new coater in North America were announced in June 2017. AGC expects production to begin in December.

According to a company release, AGC's partnerships with the local labor union, Warren County and the state of Tennessee—which were an integral part of site selection—will create more than 200 new jobs and generate opportunities for additional expansion in the future.
