Edgetech I.G. earns German NRW-INVEST Award 2011

Edgetech I.G. in Europe won the NRW-INVEST for Innovation Award 2011, presented to companies that have excelled in the arenas of innovation, investment, marketing and product development. Andy Jones, Edgetech's European managing director, accepted the award from the NRW Economic Minister at a ceremony attended by more than 500 guests in Dusseldorf, Germany, according to a July 20 release.

"We are delighted with this fantastic third-party endorsement of the success we've achieved in Germany since opening our manufacturing facility in Heinsberg," Jones said in the release. "As a company, we are dedicated to continuous improvement and product innovation. We've always been focused on solving problems, including one of the biggest challenges facing all of us today – energy efficiency and energy security."

Edgetech's official opening of its Heinsberg manufacturing facility was attended by more than 150 guests in May and represents the culmination of a multi-million dollar investment and the ultimate creation of 150 new jobs for the region, according to the release.
