FeneTech Inc. held its 16th Annual FeneVision User Conference last week, June 4-6, with a record 127 FeneVision users from 60 different companies from all over the world. The conference was held at FeneTech's headquarters in Ohio.

The User Conference is a showcase of the improvements FeneTech has made to its FeneVision ERP solution over the past year, helping attending users improve business efficiency and productivity, company officials report.

“Each year, I reiterate our conference goals: Discover, Discuss, and Define," said Ron Crowl, FeneTech president and CEO, in his opening remarks. "We’ve encouraged users to heed these three calls to action so that once they return to their facilities they’ll have in place a definite plan to move forward with the things they’ve learned here.”

Day two of the event focused on quality control solutions, with Nate Huffman, FeneTech’s quality solutions expert, outlining the latest enhancements in inspection technology pioneered by Austrian engineering firm Softsolution, including the FeneVision LineScanner’s ability to detect anisotropy.

On the final day, Nicky Whitehouse of Vitrum Industries spoke with users about cyber security, and Tony Moore of Glass & Mirror Craft addressed the attendees about their company’s use of the FeneVision LineScanner. Doug Kirk of Vinylmax Windows spoke to users about how Vinylmax is utilizing FeneVision’s Inventory Tracking capabilities.

During the three-day event, users had the opportunity to attend informational sessions in four separate tracks: FeneVision Basics; Window and Door Focus; Glass Focus; and an Ask the Experts track, where users can chat with experts about the latest developments in a particular area of the software. This year's Ask the Experts topics included: data visualization, best practices in windows and glass BOM configuration, a review of the requirements of computerized maintenance management software, and IT best practices.

At the conclusion of the conference, FeneTech staff asked attendees to rank their individual needs in terms of what they would like to see in future FeneVision updates.

“The feedback we receive from our customers is our most valuable takeaway from these conferences," says Crowl. "For the past 16 years, we’ve used what our customers have defined as their most important needs to improve our products and services. It’s a great way to begin our roadmap for the next eleven months.”
