Trump Administration Announces Removal of Metal Tariffs for Mexico, Canada

The Trump Administration announced that it will lift tariffs on aluminum and steel from Mexico and Canada, according to reporting in the Washington Post. The action is pending those countries’ agreement to stricter measures on importing Chinese metals, in order to prevent the metal making its way into the U.S. The move may also ease the passage of the United States-Canada-Mexico, or USMCA, agreement, says reporting.
