US Blocks Sale of Permasteelisa to Chinese Firm

According to reporting by the Global Construction Review, the U.S. government blocked Lixil, parent company of Italy-based Permasteelisa, from selling its subsidiary to Grandland, a company based in Shenzhen, China. In August of 2017, Lixil announced plans to sell 100 percent of its shares to Grandland for $550 million.
