Glass Industry Veteran Lowell Rager Passes Away

Lowell Rager, glass industry veteran most recently of Visteon Glass/Zeledyne, passed away Dec. 20 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He was 81. Rager also worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford and was involved with the Primary Glass Manufacturer's Council. Prior to his career in the glass industry he was a captain in the U.S. Army and a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.

His family released a statement saying: "Lowell will be fondly remembered for his kindness and devotion to his family and friends and his dedication to career; he will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to cross his path."

Loving husband of Danuta; cherished father of Debra Tucholski and Jeff (Kelly) Rager; beloved grandfather to David and Kristin Tucholski and Linda, Lauren, Nicholas and Lucas Rager, Lowell is survived by his brother Jack Rager and loving nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and co-workers; and preceded in death by his wife Florence Rager, mother Mildred Rager, father Lawrence Rager and brother Donald Rager.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers’ Association.
