Digitally printed and switchable glass

Cristacurva will present Creanza Design and PrivaSwitch glasses at GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo in Atlanta, Sept. 12-14. Creanza Design, created using a computer-driven process, can be printed with any graphic pattern, such as fine dots, graduated lines, intricate abstract designs and high-resolution photographs. Creanza Design uses ceramic frit with abrasive-resistant ink that makes the patterns scratch resistant when fused directly onto a monolithic piece of tempered glass. PrivaSwitch, a laminated art glass product, offers immediate privacy with the flip of a switch, turning from transparent clear to satin translucent. LCD crystals within the glass allow light from a projector to transmit images to show on both surfaces of the glass while it's opaque. Booth 2003.
