Thermal curtain wall from Tubelite Inc.

Tubelite Inc. introduced the 400T Series thermal curtainwall, a thermally broken curtainwall designed to meet the most recent energy codes. Recommended for use on medium- and low-rise applications, the system is well suited for retail, office, health care and school buildings. The 400T Series has a 2 1/2-inch sightline, with system depths ranging from 6 1/4 to 10 1/4 inches with optional polyamide pressure plates. The system is a shear-block, outside-glazed, captured curtain wall with a smooth, monolithic appearance, and can be stick fabricated for field glazing. It has been tested and modeled per National Fenestration Rating Council requirements, achieving a U-factor of 0.32 for thermal transmittance, and per the American Architectural Manufacturers Association 1503-09 standard, achieving a frame CRFf of 79. The 1/2-inch bite securely grips insulating glass or panels of 1-inch thickness, however, infill thicknesses from 1/8 inch to 1 5/16 inches also can be accommodated. Verticals can be steel-reinforced for high performance against strong windloads, and an improved horizontal member allows for expansion/contraction clearances to minimize splice requirements. The curtainwall comes in seven anodized finishes and 20 standard paint colors with custom colors available upon request.
