Saint-Gobain signed two contracts with Turboden, an Italian manufacturer of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems, to install ORC systems in its facilities in India and Italy.
Saint-Gobain chose a 1.2 megawatt unit to install at its float glass plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, India, as well as a 1.2 MW heat recovery system for its float facility located in Pisa, Italy. The ORC systems will generate electrical energy from waste heat.
