Lamatek, a manufacturer of die-cut foam gaskets and parts, announced its newest investment: the Delta Crusader Rotary Converter by Delta ModTech. Lamatek converts flexible foam and adhesives into gaskets, custom parts, tapes and more for a variety of markets, including medical, electronics and automotive.
About the Delta Crusader
The Delta Crusader is a multi-head, modular-style rotary press that can accommodate different substrates and perform several converting processes in one place. In addition, die-to-die registration allows it to align multiple dies accurately and precisely in order to maintain the tightest tolerances available, even on parts that require multiple cuts. The Delta Crusader also allows for multiple-size dies, giving more flexibility to run parts.
New and improved capabilities include multi-cut parts, tabbed liners, split liners and matrix-free rolled parts. The Crusader also features island transfer, which means Lamatek can switch parts from one backing liner to another. This capability also allows it to easily provide exact-spaced parts to fit automated equipment specifications and custom manufacturing setups. With this tool, a single part could potentially run through up to eight different steps without ever leaving the machine. Adhesive-backed parts on a liner, also known as kiss-cut parts, can be supplied on a roll, in sheets or individual pieces.
These additional capabilities hope to benefit customers through cost, labor and time savings.
