Magid Glove & Safety has been named to the Top Workplaces USA list in the 500-999 employee company size category for the second consecutive year. This award celebrates companies that prioritize a people-centered culture to create an exceptional place to work. Magid employs more than 1,000 people worldwide and offers walking tracks, game courts, a subsidized café and a flexible work-life balance with a hybrid schedule of three days a week in the office and two days of remote work.
About this year's award
To be considered for the national award, companies participate in an anonymous employee engagement survey that measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few. Actor Brian Baumgartner, known for playing Kevin Malone in The Office sitcom, revealed the 2023 USA Top Workplaces winners virtually on Feb. 1, 2023. “What do top workplaces do that others don’t?” asks Baumgartner. “Top workplaces prioritize people-first cultures; they put employees first when it matters most.”
Magid's response
“We strive to create a people-first culture at Magid where our team members feel like they can be themselves, take time to have fun, and know that the work they do makes a difference,” says Jen Almodovar, Magid’s executive vice president of people. “We are honored to be named a USA Top Workplace for the second consecutive year because this award emphasizes the strong employee culture our team continues to support and build together.”
“Our team provides groundbreaking innovations and safety expertise to help our customers keep their workers safe. There’s satisfaction in knowing the work we do makes a difference,” explains Almodovar. “Combine that with leaders who embrace opportunities such as a mid-day walk to relieve stress, or employees feeling comfortable enough to flex their hours so they can make it to their children’s school play, and the result is an energized team that feels valued and wants to work together toward success.”
