Mecal officials recently provided clarity that a 2020 proposed purchase by Violap was never completed.
At the beginning of 2020, there had been a negotiation between Mecal and the Voilap group for Voilap to purchase 80 percent of the share capital of Mecal. News had been spread suggesting that the acquisition had taken place. However, the acquisition of Mecal was not completed and a correction was not issued at the time.
The information attributing the possession of Mecal shares by the Voilap group are devoid of any foundation. There is no corporate relationship, commercial agreement and/or partnership between Mecal, the Emmegi companies and Elumatec of the Voilap group.
